Mr. Spock rescued me in 1987. He was my first adoption and the love of my life. We did everything together, walks, swimming, vacations, and especially celebrating the Holidays. Spock loved to unwrap his Christmas presents! He taught me about unconditional love and the loyalty of a dog. Guess you can say Mr. Spock was my soulmate.
(adopted from Kent Animal Shelter on Long Island)
Pollyanna, aka Baby Girl. She was a very very special girl. Pollyanna enjoyed taking care of my rescue kitties. She loved to go hiking except when it was time to turn head home. Pollyanna was great at playing “flat basset” and I had to carry her back to the truck.
She was my love for only 5 years till she passed from kidney failure.
(adopted from a backyard breeder situation in 2004)
Suzie Suzeena. Suzy is the boss! Riding shotgun in my truck, leading me on our hikes, and keeping all the other dogs in line. 15 years of a headstrong beagle has made for many laughs. And by the way she is still in charge! Suzie is my strength.

(adopted in 2003 from a high kill shelter in Murfreesboro, TN)
Daisy Mae is a puppy mill survivor! My beautiful girl was born blind and her Facebook friends raised funds for her eye surgery. Daisy can now see out of her left eye! Her time in a puppy mill did have a lasting effect on her. Dropping a pencil or closing a gate scares her. However she has learned to play and go for walks and just be a dog! Oh, and she is great at begging fresh apples when I am baking.
(adopted in 2011 from Crump, TN)
Lucy, aka Wilderness Dog, is a camping lovin’ beagle! Lucy’s hobbies include hiking, camping, long drives and being spoiled. She’s very laid back for a beagle. Lucy doesn’t run, she strolls! and she is as sweet as they come.

Blue, aka Blue Dog, is a mellow beach lover. Strolling on the beach is great but don’t even try to get him in the water! Blue has overcome several health issues so he is on a special diet and is doing great! He turned 13 this year and is the king of his castle!
(adopted in 2005 in Norwalk, CT)
Why a kitty? Because my Squeeky Lee absolutely loves Wookee’s Pawnola Cookees! She even tries to steal them from the dogs!
Squeeky is 15 years old and still sleeps on my head or steals half my pillow. Love this kitty!
